Altostratus
Altostratus are a bluish-grey cloud. They normally cover the whole of the sky, with the sun dimly lit behind them. Not enough light shines through to cast shadows.

Hi I am Jacqueline,
My paintings evolved out of a difficult time in my life. My Father had been diagnosed with lung cancer and I was travelling to and from Birmingham and Oxford to spend time with him. After returning from hospital visits I headed straight into the garden to paint. My thoughts would clear and my energy would recharge for the next trip.
As a commercial photographer I needed to keep focused, juggling shoots together with spending time with my Dad. Painting seemed to keep my strength up.
After my Father's passing, I continued to paint, family and friends encouraged me to sell my pieces. My first art exhibtion was held at the Cornerstone in Oxford in rememberence to my Father.
Since then, art has now become a big part of my life. My paintings are now available from various stockists across the UK, and have also been used on TV filmsets.

Why did I create this new collection?
The sky can provide a sense of calm.
A study in 2019 supports the idea that natural environments, including the sky, have restorative effects on mental health.
I realised that I always look up to the sky when I want to be with my own thoughts. So... this new collection is an inspiration of those amazing shapes in the clouds - allowing us to be able to view amazing skies, at anytime, rather than a few seconds as they float by.
